About the Franklin, Tennessee Area 

Franklin, TN, located about 22 miles south of Nashville off of Hwy 65, is one of the fastest growing cities in Middle Tennessee, and in the state. Wide open skies, rolling hills, and comfortable Victorian-flavored architecture help make this a place you’ll want to come home to.

Recipient of many different “Best Of” awards, including Money magazine’s “Top 100 Places to Live” and “Top 10 Best Place to Retire”, Franklin has also proudly been named a Clean City and a Tree City. Homes range from small to grand, from historic to ultra modern, from the low $150,000s to multi-million dollar estates. If historic homes don’t tickle your fancy, there is plenty of new construction about. Lots are often oversized and surrounded by mature trees. Quality of life is just about ideal – neighbors you know, excellent schools, a stable economy, and a sense of really getting away from the hubbub of the big city. Still, Franklin is only a 30 minute drive from Nashville, and within a day’s drive of all the big Midwest and East Coast cities.

Historically, Franklin, now the seat of Williamson County, was originally founded in 1799 and named after Benjamin Franklin. Brutal battles during the Civil War almost devastated the city, but the area was quickly resettled by former soldiers from both sides. What began as a modest agricultural community, is now a well established bedroom community of both affordable and luxury homes.
